JAY
WARREN - Drums
Jay began playing drums professionally before he even had a driver's license.
He is an extremely aggressive and proficient drummer that has more live
performing experience than many percussionists twice his age.
Jay joined the band TUNNABRIX with future Three Sided Soul band mates
Brian Adams, Walt Crihfield and Kyle Wilson in 1992 and then went on to
form the regionally successful original band GIRTH with Adams and Wilson
in 1995.
Jay has quite an extensive list of studio percussion credits and has
even held a position with The Guitar Shorty (Jimi Hendrix's brother-in-law)
band. Jay shares his very diverse and technical percussion knowledge with
his percussion students that he's been teaching for the last six years.
Like most percussionists, Jay cites Neil Peart of Rush and Mike Portnoy
of Dream Theater high atop his list of influences.
